Eijffinger’s Magnifique collection brings masterpieces of art history into contemporary interiors. True art has the power to draw us in, just as the paintings by Johannes Vermeer and Jacob van Ruisdael at the Mauritshuis museum in The Hague captivate their visitors. The rich compositions and mesmerising details of these works have now found a new expression in wallpaper designs.
For the first time in Eijffinger’s history, the Mauritshuis museum granted permission to use some of the outstanding works from its collection, inspiring an extraordinary wallpaper collection. By exploring the paintings up close, fascinating details and patterns were discovered and transformed into striking contemporary designs. Familiar figurative masterpieces have been reinterpreted in more abstract and distinctive ways, while retaining the artistic richness of the original works.
Magnifique beautifully bridges the gap between 17th-century painting and 21st-century living, bringing the beauty of classical art into contemporary homes.
