HERDINS GOLVLUT is a pigmented white floor alkali that bleaches untreated spruce or pine wood floors while maintaining a beautiful and soft wood surface. Stops the yellowing characteristic of conifers.

Cost: 1 liter of alkali is enough to treat at least 5 m² of floor.

Drying time: 8-10 hours, depending on temperature and air exchange.

Before starting work: Make sure you have the following tools and protective equipment - gloves, respiratory protection, safety glasses, shoe covers, a bowl or bucket and white polisher. Use a mop, nylon brush, cellulose sponge or lye brush to apply the lye. The work is facilitated by long-handled tools.

Surfaces treated with alkali must be freshly sanded. Make sure the floor is dry and completely free of dust. Cover the surrounding surfaces with protective film. Shake the canister thoroughly so that all the white pigment is mixed. For ease of application, pour the solution into an open container. Make sure that no white pigment sediment remains at the bottom of the canister.

Processing: Start processing from the farthest corner of the room and moving towards the door, apply the lye to the floor lengthwise with boards. Treat 2-3 boards at a time with a back and forth rubbing motion so that the lye is evenly distributed and well absorbed. Never stop processing in the middle of the table. Continue immediately with the next 2-3 boards until the entire floor is finished. Very important! Stir the lye from time to time to prevent the pigment from settling! Always wear safety glasses!

Let the floor dry at room temperature for 8-10 hours. Then sand with a white felt cloth to remove the roughness of the raised wood grain and excess pigment. Wear respiratory protection and safety glasses now! Finally, vacuum the floor and surrounding surfaces thoroughly. Avoid walking on lye-bleached floors with dark-soled shoes that leave marks. Alkaline treatment can be done on the floor only once.

Continue treating the floor with Herdins floor oil or Herdins floor soap. To add brightness, use Herdins white floor oil or Herdins white floor soap.

Clean the tools with water.

Handling: The substance is corrosive. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Always wear protective clothing, safety glasses and rubber gloves. Store tightly closed in original packaging and out of reach of children.

Waste treatment: Take the remains of the substance to an environmental station. Rinse the empty packages with water and sort them in hard plastic packaging. Contact your local government for more information.
