HERDINS GOLVOLJA is a reinforced floor oil for finishing stained or untreated wooden floors made of softwood or hardwood. Oiling the floors preserves the warm and silky surface characteristic of wood. Herdins Golvolja is available in untinted and tinted white.

Cost: 1 liter is enough to treat about 10 m² of wooden surface.

Drying time: 12-18 hours. Depends on temperature and ventilation.

Contains natural vegetable oils, alkyd resin, siccative and low aromatic white spirit. White floor oil is pigmented with titanium dioxide.

Tools: protective gloves, shoe protector, container for oil, brush or Paint & Stain Pad. Clean, lint-free rags are suitable for removing excess oil. Use a white polishing pad for polishing. The work is facilitated by tools with long handles.

Processing: Make sure the alkali-treated or freshly sanded floor is dry and dust-free. Mix the oil carefully so that the pigment is completely mixed (only applies to white Herdins Golvolja). Pour the oil into a clean container large enough to dip the tool into the oil. Apply the oil to the floor with boards lengthwise, treating 3-4 boards at a time until the entire floor is treated. A larger floor must be processed in parts. Divide the floor area into sections that you can process within 15-20 minutes. Work in a back and forth motion so that the oil is absorbed as well as possible and distributed evenly. Never stop working in the middle of a floorboard. After 15-20 minutes, wipe off the excess oil with a clean, lint-free cloth. It is very important to remove any oil that has not been absorbed into the wood. Repeat the procedure after a few hours if the surface already feels dry. It is better to work with thin layers. In very wet applications, excess oil can dry out and be difficult to remove. Stir the oil regularly while working. The oiled floor must dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours. Then polish the oiled floor with a white polishing felt. Wait at least a week before using floor rugs. After about 2 weeks, you can start wet cleaning with HERDINS GOLVSÅPA floor soap.

Maintenance: The oiled floor must be maintained regularly. Carry out daily cleaning with a vacuum cleaner or dry mop. Regular wet cleaning can be done with HERDINS GOLVSÅPA floor soap, which nourishes and protects the wood surface. To prevent wear, oiled floors should be maintained with HERDINS UNDERHÅLLSOLJA maintenance oil 1-2 times a year (floors with greater use, such as hallways and kitchens, more often).

Cleaning tools: varnish.

Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid inhalation of fumes. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves.

IMPORTANT! Risk of spontaneous combustion! Put used cloths in water or burn them. From the point of view of the final result, the temperature of the room is very important. Normal room temperature is preferred. If the temperature is too high, the oil dries too quickly and the excess oil cannot be wiped off. On the other hand, at too low a temperature, the drying time of the oil increases. Surpluses of the substance must be taken to an environmental station.
