Pimpernel wallpaper features a richly detailed botanical pattern in which large pimpernel flowers intertwine with winding foliage. Small five-petalled flowers scattered among the dense vegetation add rhythm and delicate detail to the design.
William Morris created Pimpernel in 1876. It was his first pattern to feature a mirror-inverted symmetrical composition, inspired by his work with woven textiles. The design also held personal significance for Morris, as it adorned the dining room at Kelmscott House, his home in London. This historic pattern combines lush botanical motifs with decorative symmetry, creating a striking and timeless look for the walls.
